Toen ik op ‘Fotografille’ (de blog van vriendin Evelien, waar je echt alles over fotografie en beeldbewerking kunt vinden!) een artikel zag verschijnen over het laten printen van je instagrams op marshmallows (ja, echte eetbare marshmallows) wist ik meteen; dat MOET ik ook proberen. Drukwerk en snoep in één? Oh, hell yes! Dus ik bestelde een eigen setje. Alleen al het selecteren van de afbeeldingen was erg leuk om te doen, maar ze ook daadwerkelijk op mijn deurmat vinden was nog beter!
De kwaliteit van de print is niet de beste die ik ooit heb gezien, maar hey; het gaat hier wel om marshmallows! Wat betreft het antwoord op de vraag of ze ook smaken; ik vond het in eerste instantie vreselijk zonde om ze op te eten (so pretty!), maar daar heb ik me zo snel mogelijk overheen gezet (ik kan tenslotte niet schrijven over een product wat ik niet echt geprobeerd heb) en ze smaken prima! Als het eruit ziet als een (bedrukte) marshmallow, het voelt als een marshmallow en het smaakt als een marshmallow, dan zal het wel een marshmallow zijn!
Een set van negen bedrukte marshmallows kost 12 pond (wat ongeveer 15 euro is) en is te bestellen op de website van Boomf.
When I spotted an article on my friend Evelien’s blog ‘Fotografille’ (really; if there’s anything you would like to know about photography or imaging, her blog is the place to be! (I have to warn you, though; it’s completely in Dutch)) about printing your instagram-images on marshmallows (yes: real, edible marshmallows) I just knew I HAD to try that myself. Print and candy combined? Oh, hell yes! So I ordered a little set of my own. Just the selection process was really enjoyable, but receiving my box of ‘magical mallows’ on my doormat was even better!
The print isn’t the best I’ve seen in my life, but hey; we’re talking marshmallows here! As to the question if they taste as awesome as they look, I must admit I considered it a terrible waste to eat them (by eating them, I wouldn’t be able to look at them anymore), but I got over that soon enough (I can’t write about a product and not actually try it, right?!) and they taste great! If it looks like a (printed) marshmallow, it feels like a marshmallow and it tastes like a marshmallow, then it’s probably a marshmallow!
